Keith with a nice Tuross River Jewfish

What a great month March is turning out to be.
The March outing was to the Narooma Convention on the Canberra Day long weekend. This time around the Club organised a gamefishing charter on Nitro on the Saturday for six members, which really produced the goods. Most anglers caught a couple of legal kingfish and some nice reef fish as well. The charter was so successful the Club has again booked Nitro for our return trip to Narooma on the June long weekend. A list will be circulating at the next meeting – if you're interested; put your name down (the cost will be somewhere between $250 and $300 for the day).

Stand-outs for the Narooma Convention were Chris and Colin Clarke who took out the heaviest Australian Salmon and Tailor awards. Special mention should also go to Shane Jasprizza and his two friends from Sydney who put in mammoth efforts on the be aches and rocks, returning to the Club accommodation only when they collapsed from exhaustion.
