Volume 18 Issue 12 July 2015

Hello all,

Unfortunately I start my report on a sad note this month with the notice of the passing of one of our long-time members, Patrick Luttrell who was unexpectedly taken away from us on Tuesday 14th July 2015. Seven of us represented the club at his funeral and we have put together a tribute for Pat later in the newsletter.

Hello all,

Well as they say, the best laid plans... and that was indeed the case for me for the St Georges Basin outing, was looking forward to a good fishing session but the lurgy got me on the Thursday afternoon and I was history for a few days so ended up having to miss out. Wendie even said that I must really feel crook not to go fishing because I usually push myself through the pain, out of bed and by the first cast, feel a whole lot better but this time I just could not do it.

Hello all,

It has been a very busy period for the club as always when we are holding our biggest event of the year, maintaining our regular outings, keeping on top of general business and still getting some fishing done at the same time.

Firstly, another successful outing for the club and a good turnout at the Narooma Convention for all that attended, it's always great to see the club and its members up there in the running for this event. More on our Narooma outing in another great article from Anthony later.

Our printing has been completed thanks to CanPrint Communications so we are full steam ahead into promoting the Carp Out and getting entries in. Tidying up the online entry system within our website was another hurdle but now people can now register and complete payment quickly and easily online

Hoping you all had a great new year and made it safely home from your travels, and hopefully with a few fishy tales to tell. I stayed local and had the rods in the car but, unfortunately, they did not see water.

Firstly, congratulations to all the award winners who attended the 2013-14 CFC Presentation Night. A great night was had by all, although it was a little disappointing that a large number of the winners were unable to attend. Well done to Glen Malam for taking out the top honours of Club Champion for 2013-14. More on that in Anthony’s report later on.
