Thousands of Golden Perch and Murray Cod fingerlings will be released into the Canberra local lakes thanks to the funding contribution from the ACT Government, National Capital Authority, Canberra Fisherman's Club and Capital Regional Fishing Alliance. Local native fish stocking contributing to sustainable recreational fishing in the Nations Capital.

This years approx stocking is as follows:
7000 Golden Perch Yerrabi, Northern end of the Dam wall off Mirrabella Drive
3000 Murray Cod Yerrabi, Northern end of the Dam wall off Mirrabella Drive
5000 Golden Perch Gungahlin off Ibis St
25,000 Golden Perch Lake Ginninderra (Diddums Close boat ramp)
4000 Golden Perch Dunlop Pond, Percy Begg Circuit
48210 Golden Perch Lake Burley Griffin – John Cardif Close
3,000 Murray Cod Lake Tuggeranong Mortimer Lewis Drive (sea scouts ramp)
4000 Golden Perch Point Hut Pond, Atwood Close

Funds from the 2015 Canberra Carp Out and Fish Stocking raffle have contributed towards the above stocking.

Tickets for the 2016 Fish Stocking Raffle will be available mid January 2016 and the 2016 Canberra Carp-Out will be held on Sunday April 3rd 2016
