Firstly, congratulations to all award winners at the 2012-13 CFC Presentation Night – it was a great night and a great atmosphere. I'd particularly like to congratulate Anthony Heiser on being awarded a Gold Badge in recognition of the outstanding work he has done for the Club. Gold Badges are only awarded on rare occasions – congratulations Anthony and thanks for all your efforts on the Club's behalf.

Looking to the fishing scene, the Kalkite outing this month had a great turnout of CFC members – we even had to rent extra accommodation to handle the overflow! Unfortunately the fishing was quiet with warm sunny days and crystal-clear water. Once again, Keith Smith showed us how it’s done with a great 53cm Atlantic Salmon and Steve Bailey caught a nice kilo-plus Brown Trout. For the rest of us it was a peaceful weekend dozing in the sun while we soaked a worm. A special thanks to Brian and Coralie for organising the barbeque on Saturday night… and to Kevin Spriggs for taking care of the accommodation.
